Singer-songwriter Lara Brown, until recently known as just LARA (Hurni), is delighted to announce the release of her second album, co-produced by Erik West-Millette and Olaf Gundel. The album is composed of her own bitter-sweet ballads and original, catchy melodies, along with one of Serge Gainsbourg's gems. With her retro-modern mix of electro-pop songs, their acoustic and electric overtones adding a 60s touch, Lara Brown and her personal brand of quirky glamour boldly claim a spot on the scene of contemporary French pop music.
The vibrant (sensuous) free-spirited artist won the Popular Vote and Coup de cœur at the Festival international de la Chanson de Granby 2004. At the Festival Pully-Québec in Switzerland, she was named Revelation 2006 and Best Female Singer 2008. Her poetic lyrics were awarded 2nd prize in the songwriters' contest Concours national de paroliers Chanson pour tes yeux 2010 and 3rd prize in the same contest in 2011.
