Adele revealed to her fans on Friday that she is expecting a baby. She wrote in a blog post entitled “I’ve Got Some News”:

"Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"

The 24-year-old pop sensation has been dating her boyfriend, Simon Konecki, since late 2011. Konecki is the CEO of charity Drop4Drop and has a child from a previous marriage. He also is compared in appearance to comedian Zach Galifianakis.

Despite writing an album, 21, known for heart-breaking lyrics of love and loss, Adele is now riding high with a new relationship, a baby on the way, and an album that earned 24 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and over 9.4 million copies sold to date. The young star has a lot to be delighted about.
