| Deadmau5, the popular DJ who is known for speaking his mind, took to Twitter to blast DJ Pauly D for his new video. Pauly D, who is known for his role on The Jersey Shore, also tours as a DJ and makes a nice dime off of guest appearances. He opened up to his 3.6 million Twitter followers asking if they liked his new video on YouTube. Deadmau5 took the invitation to tweet back, saying that the video was uninspired and that Pauly D’s efforts wreaked of overmarketing.
Pauly D brushed it off, tweeting:
“T-Shirt $40 Jeans $120 Hair Gel $12 Being Hated On By Deadmau5 #Priceless.”
Deadmau5 responded again, saying:
"hating? the f---? you clearly don't know me enough if you thought that was 'hating'. was just some friendly-ish advice."
If Pauly D’s feelings were hurt, at least he knows he’s in good company. Deadmau5 recently slammed Madonna for her remarks at Ultra Music Festival, referencing ‘Molly’ and Ecstasy use to try to win over the crowd.
Fortunately for fans and the world at large, Twitter provides a platform for celebrities to vent and take cheap (and not-so-cheap) shots at each other. A place where agents and publicists can’t stop you from speaking fast enough before the damage is done. With Deadmau5, he could care less about having a publicist or censoring himself.
