Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love Song Unearthed 04.21.12

A video of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and his wife Courtney Love (Hole) surfaced online. According to the footage, which can be seen below, the unreleased song is entitled “Stinking of You” and will be in the new documentary Hit So Hard: The Life And Near Death Story of Patty Schemel. Patty Schemel was the drummer of Love’s band Hole from 1992 to 1998.

Although the audio fidelity and song are not well-produced in the video, the clip provides a glimpse into the life of Cobain and Love. Their daughter Frances Bean Cobain makes a brief appearance.

According to NME, former Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson claimed that the late Nirvana singer and guitarist penned an album full of his own solo recordings before his suicide in 1994. Said Erlandson:

"He was headed in a direction that was really cool. It would have been his 'White Album'. That's really what he was going towards, a solo album but working with different people."
