Lady Gaga is “furious” that there is a biopic about her life currently in-the-making and that it might shed too much light on her personal life. A source close to the singer told Life & Style:
“She’s cringing at the thought of her life being exposed on television. Gaga doesn’t want it getting out because it will portray her as insecure and needy.”
The pop icon has an image to uphold as a strong and confident woman, seeing as she is a role model to millions of her Little Monsters. Whether fact or fiction, a biopic could hurt her image by getting a bit too personal. Even her ex Luc Carl wrote a memoir, entitled The Drunk Diet: How I Lost 40 Pounds…Wasted, where he chronicled the former couple’s break:
"The breakup with my girlfriend was my rock bottom. It took me about a week to realize she was right. I was f--king miserable, and it wasn't her fault. It was my fault for being a drunk a--hole. I would have left me, too."
While this excerpt doesn’t show Gaga in a bad light, celebrities would probably want to keep at least part of their lives private. After the biopic, we’ll have to see how much of that is still possible.
Lady Gaga was rumored to be portraying Amy Winehouse in her biopic, although that never happened. It’s unclear who will play Gaga in hers—many are speculating it will be an unknown actress.
